The “Castillo de Utiel” series represents the winery’s most traditional wines. All of the wines are made from grapes meticulously selected in the vineyard as well as upon entering the winery. Utiel growers painstakingly and lovingly cultivate the fruit on prime grape- growing land, situated in the heart of the DO and endowed with a Mediterranean microclimate that benefits from Atlantic influences. The wines are made with the latest technologies at the winery’s disposal and with cutting-edge enological techniques, but always with respect for the area’s firmly rooted viticultural traditions.

Cherry-red colour with a ruby shine. The nose is a pleasing blend of elegant American oak aromas harmonized with fruits of the forest preserves and a considerable vanilla note. Shows structure and complexity in the mouth, deliciously marrying the fruit preserves with tannins and new oak flavours.

Goes well with red meats, roast lamb, stone-grilled ox meat, game, and very dry or blue cheeses. Serving temperature: between 16º and 18ºC.
